We’ve made the difficult decision to cancel this week’s Sunday 8:00 a.m. Eucharist due to the increasing COVID-19 rates in Florida and in Palm Beach County. We will still open the church on Sunday afternoon from 1:30 until 2:30 p.m. for private prayer and communion.

We’ll continue to evaluate the case counts each week. Any future changes to our service schedule will be announced here.

Last May, we outlined an approach towards the pandemic in which we described three “seasons” through which we expected to move. Since that time, we’ve linked to a document describing our current “season” each week in this newsletter. You may have noticed that that link is gone this week. As the months have gone by, we’ve learned more about how the virus is transmitted and what activities put us most at risk. Going forward, we’ll evaluate each event on a case-by-case basis. (Our decision this week to cancel the 8:00 a.m. service but continue with private prayer in the afternoon is an example of this approach.)

Please continue to pray for all those affected by the coronavirus pandemic, in our community and around the world.
