The Rev. Margaret McGhee comes to Bethesda from New Haven, CT, where she attended Berkeley Divinity School at Yale, earning a Master of Divinity from Yale and an Anglican Diploma from Berkeley.
Margaret spent most of her childhood in New Orleans, studied Electrical Engineering at Rice University in Houston, and then attended law school at Georgetown. She worked as an attorney in Washington DC, and as a technology consultant to a law firm in New York City.
Margaret stumbled into the Episcopal Church as an adult and never quite managed to leave. She found in the Church’s liturgy a profound connection to truths about God that evade rational description. And she found in the Church’s community a place where God’s love could be given visible form. She is excited to spend the first years of her ministry at Bethesda.
